Academic Integrity and Avoiding Plagiarism
Academic integrity is an integral part of a comprehensive educational experience. We believe all students have the right to a fair and equal education, and academic dishonesty weakens the education of all students. Academic dishonesty is plagiarism, dishonest behavior, or sharing answers on tests, projects, essays, daily assignments, or homework. Students are encouraged to work collaboratively in many academic settings to enhance their learning and prepare them for professional experiences. While sharing ideas may enhance the education of all students, there are an infinite number of ways to express a single idea. Students must make common ideas their own. Identical or nearly identical expressions of common ideas will be considered academically dishonest.
Further, D20 provides this fair use checklist; use
this checklist to self-score whether your use of sources is supported without breaking copyrights and restrictions.
