Access Program at Village High School

Village High School offers a full time online program for 9th-12th grade students called Access.  This program is intended for students with specific circumstances that prevent them from being able to enroll in The Village program or go to an in-building high school.  This online program is not self-paced;  however, there may be some opportunity to work ahead.

Care is taken to ensure each student enrolling in Access is prepared to meet expectations, has demonstrated the skills necessary to be successful in an online environment, and understands the challenges of an online only education.  As such, each student wishing to apply to Access meets with our counselor first.  If it is determined that the student is a good fit for this program, the counselor will help to build an individualized schedule of courses for the student.   For questions about Access, please contact Kimi Cain at 719-234-1671.  Counselors and other contact information is at the bottom of this page.

This program is not intended for students who are significantly behind in credits.

VHS has small class sizes limited to 50 students per grade level, and this number includes Village and Access students.

We have work space and help available at VHS.   Access students are encouraged to use the Lab.    We request that all new Access students come to VHS Lab a few times to begin the semester.   If students fall behind in classes, we will request that he or she uses VHS Lab until the student shows sufficient progress.

Lab hours:

Monday through Thursday

 8:15 am - 9:15 am OR 1:30 pm - 3 pm

Fridays are by appointment only due to a varied Friday schedule each week.

More help times are available by appointment.   Contact Kimi Cain to schedule.
