This project-based and personalized program was piloted for full time 9th grade students in the 2015-16 school year, 9th and 10th grade students in the 2016-17 school year, and 9th through 11th grade in the 2017-18 School year. We now have 9th - 12th grade students. The Village pioneers an innovative and personalized school model.
Each student applying to the program will need to have an informational interview to assist in making enrollment decisions. For more information on this program, please look over the website or contact the Village High School office at 719-234-1970. We have 40 spots available in each grade level. Once grade level enrollment is full, students will be placed on a wait list.
If you are interested in the Village,
please submit an application, even if you are on a waitlist for a certain grade level. The waitlist will be continued on each semester and you will receive updates on enrollment. You will have the opportunity to accept or decline if an opportunity opens up.

Access at Village High School
Academy Online High School offers a full time online program for 9th-12th grade students called Access at Academy Online. This program is intended for students with specific circumstances that prevent them from being able to enroll in The Village or go to an in-building high school. Access is not self-paced; however, there may be some opportunity to work ahead.
Care is taken to ensure each student enrolling in Access is prepared to meet expectations, has demonstrated the skills necessary to be successful in an online environment, and is seeking an online program for the right reasons. As such, each student wishing to apply meets with our counselor first. If it is determined that the student is a good fit for this program, the counselor will help to build an individualized schedule of courses for the student.
This program is not intended for students who are significantly behind in credits. There are limited spaces available. Once grade level enrollment is full, interested students will be placed on a wait list.
To start the application process, please contact our counselor
Kimi Cain. An informational meeting about the Access program is required to make sure that it is a good fit for the student. You may also call the Village High School office at 719-234-1670 for more information on this program. It is suggested that you download the application and have this filled out prior to the meeting.
